Details
Lapacho comes from the inner bark of the lapacho tree, found high in the Andes in the South American rainforest. It is used in the traditional herbal medicines of several of the indigenous peoples of Central and South America. We are mystified by its soothing flavor, bearing an ever-so-slight taste of vanilla and cinnamon, and it's mellowing role when used as a base in herbal blends, and we're sure you will be too!
As a precaution, we do not recommend serving lapacho to pregnant or nursing women or to young children. In studies done to determine the effect lapacho can have in fighting cancer, there are some indications that it fights against rapidly splitting cells, and as such may be harmful to your child's health.
